KEVIN O'MALLEY

 

Kevin O’Malley, a native Texan, graduated from Brenham High School in 1980, obtained his BBA from The University of Texas in 1983 and obtained his law degree from The University of Houston Law School in 1987.

While at University of Houston Law School, he was a member of the Order of the Barons. 

 

Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 1987, he began his legal career at Haynes & Fullenweider working with the famed Richard “Racehorse” Haynes and Donn Fullenweider.

 

 In 1989 he joined the Houston based law firm of Mitoff & Jacks, handling a wide array of personal injury cases. 

 

In 1996, Mr. O’Malley established The O’Malley Law Firm, handling personal injury, wrongful death,  trucking accidents, bus accidents, natural gas explosions, securities fraud, DTPA claims, medical malpractice, pharmacy error claims,  industrial accidents, and business disputes.  Mr.  O’Malley is motivated by his compassion for his clients, his sense of fair play and his desire to correct injustice. MELANIE MCKENZIE

 

An AV rated attorney, with over 22 years of legal experience, Melanie McKenzie is dedicated to her clients and their pursuit of justice. Melanie graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1980 and is a 1984 graduate (with honors) of Texas Tech University and a 1988 graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law.

 

 Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in 1988, Melanie began her legal career as a trial attorney at Haynes & Fullenweider and handled civil and criminal cases.  Melanie  joined Crain, Caton & James P.C. in 1990 as a trial attorney and was an equity shareholder of the firm from 1996-2002.   Melanie engaged in a wide array of civil litigation, including wrongful death, toxic exposure, industrial accidents, employment discrimination and business disputes and became Of Counsel to Crain, Caton & James, P.C.  in May 2002-October 2003.  

 

 In 2003, Melanie joined The O’Malley Law Firm and has used her experience representing both defendants and plaintiffs in civil litigation to provide a well rounded perspective of personal injury cases, business cases and employment cases.  Melanie looks for efficient and effective ways to address your legal concerns.

POLLY WENGLAR

 

Polly Wenglar has served as The O’Malley Law Firm Administrator and Legal Assistant since 1996.


Born in Kingsville, Texas, she began working in the legal profession in 1983 while working in the TXO Production legal department in Midland, Texas. She also worked in the legal profession in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Houston, Texas in 1990 to work at the Mitoff and Jacks Law Firm.


Polly’s experience, knowledge, compassion, client centered focus, and team oriented approach are invaluable qualities available to our clients. Her knowledge and experience serve to streamline pre-trial preparation, document management and trial.
